I keep saying I will read his book but I’m pretty sure he says racism was normal and don’t blame whites for racism because everyone was racist at some point. So I’ll prob pass.

But I have yet to find someone debunk his work. But I also haven’t really spent energy looking for it.

They love him.

Can you imagine dedicating your life’s work to defending white supremacy?

He debunks himself if you read his writings. The first few times I read him, I noted omissions, gaps, and reaches as he was trying to make his points.
A man as well educated, well read, and with his real world experiences knows better, if I can see when he makes these reaches. He's disingenuous.

My main gripes about Sowell and modern Black conservatism is that they never seem to put their thoughts in action. They seem to always only provide cultural commentary and talk down to blacks but rarely do I see any of them leading marches, tutoring, starting job programs etc. Now its just podcasts or selling books.

At least Booker T. Washington actually did what he preached. He had conservative views but never truly ostracized himself from the community.
