Imagine how much they would have improved a myplayer type mode. How deep their franchise mode would be now?!? My FAVORITE feature about 2k5 was the week to week preparation. Scouting reports for opponents every week with plays you could work on to beat or stop them. shyt aint fair brehs.

Yes there was a learning curve in Sim mode but once you got your feet under you it just felt so natural that no other game has been able to replicate. NFL needs to let note than once company license is the game it's time. It will force EA to be better and there is more than enough room on my shelf to have two NFL games.

I don't know bro? I remember the 2K team was bought by Sega in the late 90's for the Dreamcast (since EA wouldn't make games for them) when they were called Visual Concepts. It's how we got the basketball/football/baseball franchises

As a secret developer for VC, I can speak on this a lil bit

Visual Concepts was founded by 3 ppl, names optional... And those three later left and started Tiburon Entertainment who later took over developing for Madden and they still there til this day.

Visual Concepts was who was heading up Sega Sports and Take 2 interactive bought VC and had them continue making 2k games.
Once Take 2 took over, I lost all connections with the devs and shortly afterwards they seemed to run out of ideas

They still haven't caught up to 2k8s physics and how weather works in modern Madden. It's crazy frustrating. But yeah controls and lack of a true dynasty/custom season mode are the only drawbacks. Still
