That used to be true. It hasn't been for awhile IMO. They even ruined GoT, was WAY better the first 3 seasons.
99% of TV shows go on for too damn long. If a show is still profitable, there isn't much reason to cancel it unless all you care about is the artistic side of things.

I don't see Leftovers getting 3 seasons or The Wire getting 5 if this guy was in charge.

How did they ruin GOT? By increasing the budget every season? By allowing them to take a year off so they don't have to rush filming or editing? It was the showrunners who decided they only had enough material for 13 finals eps. Can't blame HBO for GRRM not giving D&D a book to adapt. They didn't sign up to write ASOIAF, which is what they've been doing since season 5.

Let's be real the Wire only got 4 and a half seasons. And like I said, what that AT&T guy is talking about "hours per day" is corny and not the right tact. BUT HBO could use a more diverse pool of subject matter and talent. They love giving the same writers/producers and actors multiple shows year after year. There is a lot more talent out there that deserves the shot.
As far as GoT, the show was more about characters and the actual strategy and plot of getting on the Iron Throne. It has now devolved into sci-fi and horror. It may be the circumstances of GRRM not finishing but the show is less than it previously was.

i saw this and i hope they don't ruin HBO with their hours per day BS. that's such a dumb logic. you're gonna miss more than you hit and ppl who pay for HBO expect quality so no way they will fly for this shyt. ppl stick with Netflix because of the price.

But that has nothing to do with HBO. They've given the showrunners everything they need to make that show work. Only thing they couldn't give them was a book to adapt.

Hbo has pretty much been responsible for my top ten list when it comes to tv.. i would be up for more new shows because i find myself Zoning out for months on end until a show I like comes on these days.

Idk how i would compare to netflix because netflix got a lot of crap too. Nothing touching curb, thrones, sopranos, wire nevermind stuff like band of brothers. at all so i wouldnt be rash. Idk if i can imagine anworld with that many hbo shows. ... ‘dbe crazy.

Hbo is class - ig88

As long as the price doesn't jump to the point where my parents don't want to pay for it I say bring it on. The more content the better. You don't have to watch it
