How do we get a Negro League-esque thing popping?

I think we could start small with an alternative basketball league that plays during the summer and go from there. We need some big $$$ behind it, tho.
Should be outdoors on black tops and the home courts should be located in inner cities

The key is though, is not to call it a "black league" but still cater to blacks without saying so or being blunt about it

That's what CACs do

Do you really expect Kevin Durant whose next contract can be up to like 35 mil a year and 230 mil overall. To play in your black league to make 2 million a year and 12 mill overall?
Not with the current generation but if you start instilling that mentality it could work a couple of generations from now imo

I don't expect ANYONE currently to have the mindset to wanna sacrifice for the betterment of the black race as a whole. That will take generations. Which is why I say we need an overall major shift in our mentality first.

Gaining knowledge of self and past history brings about an increase in racial pride which will naturally make you want to see your people do better and WANT to sacrifice for your people.

We are a LONG way from having a large mass group of people willing to unify and do that. Sports aspect aside, we need the mindset that they had to build Black WallStreet in the 1st place.

That's not how capitalism works though. And furthermore you can't expect a man to turn down 35 million for 2 million on the premise of "We Black, We got to stick together" hell for what the NBA is already damn near all black. If the premise is something Black owned that could be as big as the NBA or NFL then maybe we need to look into other avenues. Spades, Dominoes(just examples) something grassroots that can be built into something big.

If you instill pride in something you would be surprised how many people would turn down a check for something bigger than money that why I'm saying it could happen in a couple of generations from now, it's not like college athletes are making any money right now
