I couldn't find if they used a control group of people who were never exposed to religion, this study is far from a smoking gun, still interesting though.
I don't fetishize academia, but you 'skip baylessed' a multi-year, international study in less than 10 minutes because you couldn't find a "smoking gun." Anti-religion types really don't be saying much.

Anxiety attacks and sugar cookies
So a creator with all power decided to tell a specific human something and nobody else and he expected that humans would trust him to spread his beliefs across the world and he would never show back up again? LMAOOOOOOOO! Religion is great culturally. But people who take it at face value :mjlol: . Big respects to the guy that came up with hell and heaven lol.
Why is it you go after Christianity but don’t bring up something like Hinduism too, it’s like you have some plan of attack to piss people off for no reason

Because the majority of atheists/anti-theists/skeptics/etc. in the West don't know about any other religion and there are almost 2,000 years' worth of arguments against it due to scholarship that, ultimately, failed to destroy it.

'Sheep' got rid of slavery. 'Sheep' got Black people Civil Rights.

What did atheism do?

How could an 'absence of belief' DO anything?

:jbhmm:

At no point have I said anything about atheism. Also, business decisions masked as altruism fool no one but sheep. You are welcome to your feel-good delusions. Good luck with them, stay safe.

I just contrasted opposing ends of the spectrum and getting rid of slavery/Civil Rights weren't JUST business decisions masked as altruism.

Trying to downplay or minimize the importance of religion in those events is denying history and the bastion of fools.

You also might want to see what 'theological noncognitivism' is before attributing 'delusions' to my posts.

Peace.

Adam and Eve isnt a creation story. There are already people in the world when they are cast out of eden. To me the story has many different lessons. I think one glaring thing is god noting the evil of free will. Which would actually mean that slavery is if not good,it is neccessary.

The problem is not slavery, but whos doing the enslaving and whos in charge of the slaves. When you really stop and think deeply about it:respect:

We are to follow G-d's will and not our own or other men, because our will is not perfect and corrupted. So in some sense you are right, but I wouldn't call it slavery rather a person walking the path to life.
