Let me help my brethren here. Its simple logic. Let's say you're a promoter why would u pay someone 300k. How would you make that back and profit? How much u charging. How many people you expect? What about security and insurance.

Everyone like to exaggerate how much they get paid. I mean except for my IT cert having 2 pawgs in the morning 2 in the afternoon and double on weekends coli brehs

You obviously did not read this thread. A regular ass Promoter is not going to pay Lil Wayne for a concert... Live Nation and AEG and the other big conglomerates handle big acts like that....... you n!ggas have issues with comprehension

The fading and struggling stars of shows like 'Love & Hip Hop' get like 50k a season, before taxes…it's either something to get you a look or in many cases a second look in the industry, raise your profile, or the last stop for burnt, broke and desperate stars of days long past.
:heh: @ love and hiphop giving someone a second look in the industry.

Ive always wondered this.

Or cats from the 90's that had like one semi hit song.
The fukk is Mic Geronimo doing right now?
We always see Lord Jamar...but where is Sadat X and Grand Puba?

It's so funny u say that because I met mic Geronimo literally a month ago and he owns a locksmith business and does very well for himself. He also still does shows overseas.

Them Lo Lifes...
Weezy is on Forbes list.

And he be grossing like 50 a tour.
Yes he his, I was being facetious referring to the top earners of 2014 if he's getting 300k a show, I'd be doing 200 city dates a year.

50 sounds cool, I'd even accept 150 far as Weezys starpower.

Shyt, at one point I had a line on Prince for 100k, just had to put 20 in escrow, and agree on the rider..to many haters involved tho...didn't happen..

I dont know any washed rappers. I am aware of the rappers in my area who thought they were going to be stars. Of the 4 rappers that I knew, all four are bums, a bad breakup away from being a vagrant. What messed the game up was when dealers would fund rappers, now the dealers are either trying to be elected or they're rapping themselves. I guess thats a good thing

Lil Wayne In Top 5 Of Billboard’s 2012 Money Makers List

Lil Wayne does Arena Tours, and has been doing them since 2009. (he was on Forbes list with $37M in earnings in 2012) He is not doing anything less than 300k. I can personally guarantee you that.

Drake, Lil Wayne, etc are doing arena size venues.. you can not book these guys 9 times out of 10 for concerts. Live Nation or AEG is handling all that. They do 90% of tours in the music industry, from J.Cole, to Lil Wayne to Schoolboy Q etc. SMH.. fall back negro, u dont know sh*t about the ins and outs of the concert industry.
nikka you really believe Wayne is getting 300k a show???? :heh:

Good point but there's still a fair amount of studios that thrive.

Professional level recording is a way that artists can stand out.

mos def, i'm not saying that cats don't use or need professional studios these days, just that you wouldn't make anywhere near as much by buying and renting it out. i saw a doco a few months ago about the west coast scene i think, they drove around & showed where all these old studios were that had to shut down because in the last 10 years home & portable recording has become so easy, affordable & the quality is right up there.
