Dwight Howard at 6'9 trying to guard this behemoth :dead:

Exactly what I was thinking about as I typed. Wilt would have a field day in today's league. No Russell. No roster full of HOFers surrounding Russell. :wow:

Dwight looks like he's at least 6'10, 6'11.

He can't be the same size as Alonzo Mourning.

the first one, im going to consider it a bad angle but thats the two side by side. Dwight, at the NBA draft combine in 2004 measured to a little over 6'9" without shoes also.

Zo's listed height was 6'10" also, but I assume he was closer to 6'8" than 6'10"

Can't see the 2nd pic but if the 1st one is when he got drafted he must of grown since then. He was still a High Schooler.

There was an NBA expansion that year. Those teams that were added basically had amateur players. Oscar Robertson averaged a triple double that year too. Bill Russell went off. Also add that they played in a mostly white and non-athletic league.

Wilt is the GOAT, seriously, I've been convinced of this over the past few months.

"Wilt was benching 465 when he was 59 years old! That was a mere four years before he passed away. He used to work out with Arnold the Terminator, and his bench press was over 500 when he was younger.
Anyway, Wilt could bench press 550lbs back in college. On the set of Conan the Destroyer and when he was around mid-forties, Wilt was rumored to have a bench pressed 450lbs and beaten Arnold in weight lifting.
There's a famous pic of him while he was a track star in college, showing him jumping straight up next to a high-jump bar. He was about 54 inches off the ground when the photo was taken (it won the photographer an award). Wilt wasn't sure if he was on the way up or on the way down. Even when he was playing volleyball, he'd often be photographed spiking the ball, and his waist would be over the net."

And you have to remember that Wilt was getting triple & quadruple teamed every possession....and still put up those numbers

Blocks wasn't been kept at a stat back then...but imaginae how many blocks he had per game....he prob averaged atleast 7 to 8 blocks per game

I dont know how someone "looks" 6'11" through the TV camera, but with shoes I think he measures to close to 6'11"

without shoes he is 6'9"

Dog, He looks like a legit center..

Somebody who is an undersized 6'9 center looks undersized on TV compared to taller players.

Dwight does not classify as an undersized C to me when I look at him..

idk what to tell you

the physical evidence is in front of you, plus his draft combine height.

I mean Hakeem was listed at 7 feet, but he was really 6'10" so this isnt that much of a shock to me.
