How did we get to the point where some of y'all dislike LGBTQ more than white supremacists

There's been subliminal tactics online to associate right wing conservatism with masculinity and manliness. It's been prevalent for many years too.

A lot of dudes think that it's masculine or alpha to be so concerned about the LGBTQ community or to be opposed to them.

In reality, not giving a flip either way and letting people live their truth is the most masculine position to take.

Boosie's opposition to gay shyt, for example, just comes off excessive. It's like "We get it breh. You don't f*ck with gay shyt" But Boosie keeps milking it until it's dry.

Regardless of your individual opinions on peoples' sexuality, Right Wing supremacists are 10 times a bigger threat to Black people than any LGBTQ movement and I'll support them over the ring wingers who want to turn Black people into 4th class citizens any day of the week.

Also, contrary to popular opinion, the majority of gay and lesbian people act normal af. It's just that the most flamboyant and crazy ones get the most coverage in the media to divide the masses.

You're average gay Black man is probably directing a church's choir somewhere as opposed to pushing an agenda.

Dudes that get all hardcore militant against LGBT are more than likely dealing with unresolved sexuality issues within themselves. So they lash out to prove they're not like them and to assert their perceived heterosexuality and "manliness"

I've had openly gay co-workers and bosses. Never cared what they did in private, that's their business. Didn't feel threatened by them in any way. I wonder about dudes that get all pissed off about gays. What does their sexual preference have to do with you? You can't just acknowledge their humanity and KIM? Very suspect dikk police behavior.

It's disappointing as a black man seeing this turn of events. People are mirroring their oppressors and call it progress.
This is a serious discussion worth having because this is part of why we are seeing these diaspora wars, bm vs bm everlasting gender war, podcast chitlin circuit, and particular narratives that are prevalent on social media continuing to grow. It will only get worse if we continue to ignore this point.

do you think race and sexual proclivities are the same?
I know what you’re trying to do, but guess what? If white people treat their own marginalized groups like shyt, what do you think is gonna happen to us? Anyone who doesn’t fit into the white supremacy scope is fukked.

Folks were jumping with joy when they had those anti-gay and trans laws were kicking in but started crying when they were destroying and hindering black progress. These people making those laws belong in the same group.

The right wing fear tact is getting old now.

They also use to think the same of black people, experimenting on our ancestors.

Every tactic you use and say, a white person said it before you,
We were born black and dehumanized due to our skin. We ain't have no choice. These LGBT folk chose their path and not only that but make up <5% of the population. You and the other weirdos on Twitter gotta stop going along with this narrative of bunching lgbt and black folk. :gucci:

Crakkas effectively grouped black folk and gays/trans as "woke" as bw and the likes stay caping and uplifting these small minority mentally ill people.

I don't hate lgbt cause thet don't occupy my mind nor do they affect my day to day life. People can do whatever please just don't be trying to force it on ppl to accept and then use that mentally ill propoganda and brainwashing the youth. On the other hand I completely despise white supremacists and all their adjecents and pleased knowing these cave cretins are dropping like flies.:unimpressed:

Why would someone “choose” to be gay or trans in a society that hates and ostracizes them. Please explain

I'm gonna try to answer this as nuanced as possible.

There's some jealousy around how quickly LGBTQ rights have moved and improved in our society. And to be honest, it has been rather unprecidented. Over the course of really 15 ish years, LGBTQ rights went from politically a thrid rail, to something you can't NOT center policy around. There's a theory that says that this MOSTLY is because enough white men are now gay in our society or white men want to transition and therefore the agenda is pushed more do to their collective economic power. This is especially telling considering one of the most important figure in that movement is a trans black woman but is hardly ever talked about.

Contrast that with the lack of improvement in things like police brutality (Trayvon was almost 11 years ago now), upward mobity and other issues for black folks and now there's friction. Companies and municipalities fly rainbow flags in June for Pride. But almost none of them would fly the Pan-African flag in February.

But much of it is also folks being pitted against eachother. There's plenty of LGBTQ black people and they deserve their rights and dignity as well. So by being anti-gay we also alienate many of our brothers and sisters. While white gay folks have their agenda, many times that does not truly include black people. So the fight against racism and classism is also a fight for black gay and trans people as well. So there's no way you can say you are "for the culture" if that doesn't include our gay brothers and sisters. Especially considering how much of black culture is pushed, curated and then stolen from the black gay community.

How can you say all that and then reach such a shytty conclusion? They have their rights protected (except the black ones). fukk whether or not we're being pit against each other, I'm trynna get MY rights protected.

ps, Trayvon wasn't even killed by a cop, just a random private citizen.

That's the whole point, the "TQ+" ain't just doing the shyt in private no more.
