At the end of the day, as gyms and fitness classes come back online, these
bikes are an overpriced exercise machine (a technology that has existed for damn near a century) that charges an outsized subscription fee.
And the fact remains that its biggest utility for most owners was its status symbol, and a rather poor one at that. Because unlike a nice car, watch, or a house, a damn bike is not on display for all to see.
Unfortunately, the Company must continue with this subscription-model to continue branding itself as an SaaS and to justify its lofty (and unstainable) valuation. But things are going south very quickly:
