All went over 100 million in box office revenue. That's not even mentioning the 4 Shrek movies, which people like to argue Mike Myers was the star, but Eddie was the reason everybody watched those movies. They came close to a billion each

I understand the game and why he did and still does it.

But Eddie Murphy is made for rated R movies

Bowfinger is probably the last good performance I remember.

The same thing you've said about Eddie, I wonder why none of Martin movies are watchable. Thin Line Between Love And Hate is the only one I've watched repeatedly. How could you have the GOAT show (except the last season) and suck so bad in your movie.

Chris Rock is another who's stand-up leave me in stitches, but his movies are corny.

Chapelle was the only one to succeed in both movies and tv.

Eddie assumes the Richard Pryor Role, so now Quick is the leader, then you have younger comics Chris Rock, Martin Lawrence, Kevin Hart, Cedric the Entertainer. Have Monique play the daughter of Della Resse's character. You trying to tell me that lineup couldn't put together a funny movie. Of course not as funny as the OG, but what do we have now a days?

Ben Stiller, Will Farrell and their boys stay putting out movies together, while the best AA comedians don't. The Younger generation needs their classics too

nobody fell off harder than jamie fox. Yeah he has an oscar, but outside of 1-2 decent movies he's stuck with BS roles the last couple of years, at least eddie got classics and box office hits on his resume.

And it bricked. The sad fact is that films with predominantly black casts will usually fail because studios have no clue how to market them. However, it makes the few successes stand out.
