Kept missing big shows and interviews

I remember one year at the mtv awards was pose to be him and Jay on this joint stage

Well he didn’t show up and it became a showcase for Jay instead

it was more of the same and the public got tired and moved on to the next up and coming star

the rap game is shifty like that

X the realest though cuz he never switched up his style and he gets mad respect because of that :yeshrug:

X never really grew from IDAHIH to Grand Champ. He peaked on his first mainstream release. He had some nice singles here & there, but the rest of his catalog, beyond IDAHIH, full album wise; very very mid imo.Only one classic on his resume. When he was focused, tho(Slipping..Niccaz Done Started Something)..Definitely top 10 of all time worthy

He should have worked with more producers outside of the Ruff Ryder camp. X over Premier, Havoc, Prime RZA, DJ Muggs, Pete Rock, Eric Sermon etc would have been bananas.

Plus his drug habit had gotten worse within every release
