The 2011 Mavs were the first pace-and-space team. That Mavs team truly started the modern NBA, not the big 3 Heat or the Warriors.

They spread the floor and destroyed the Lakers with the 3 ball. Meanwhile the Lakers were still walking the ball up the floor and running the triangle.

The Mavs made 49 three-pointers that series. The Lakers made 15.

The 2 time defending champion Lakers got swept off the floor with their slow-paced halfcourt offense. It was truly the changing of the guard and ushering in of the new era.

If lebron ONLY averages 23 a game the heat prob win easily. The average margin of victory for the mavs in the 4 games they won was only 6 points. Lebrons ppg dropped almost a full 10 points
It was a monumental choke job. Waste of a great DWade finals (26.5ppg on 54% shooting)
