The whole "chris was ex-military shyt", was he really or is that just something cats saying to big up his gansta? If he really was ex-military, when/how was that mentioned?

I think Chris's truck had the Dept of Defense decal on his back window.

I've already watched this series twice. Gonna have to do it again but with commentary on this time and see how that goes.

I guess Chris Partlow being ex-military explains why he was in cop uniform during the court session in the first episode of season 1.:jawalrus:

Lol, no that just a casting mistake. He was basically an extra in that scene.

Just like Randy's foster mom was a junkie in the previous season. It was just a casting mistake.

Yeah, I know that. Was just saying. Hence the :jawalrus:. Perhaps I should've used :troll: instead.:smugfavre:

Though I don't think they considered it a casting "mistake". Hell, it's not the first time some form of cinema as re-casted an actor for a different role in the same series. 2 cats in Kill Bill were double casted, intentionally.

As far as the coop not killing Marlo, again you need for real killers on ya team. The average goon ain't goin at nobody that could possibly come back at him and if they do they price is high as fukk. True enough they could've pooled their resources but if you ain't a killer u ain't a killer.
Baltimore has 250-300 murders/year, or at least it had during that time. Most of them are in the drug game. Now I know the average dopeboy isn't exactly a professional killer, but it's hard to believe that the majority of the players in Baltimore didn't have at least a few good shooters between them.

There is strength in numbers. If two car-loads of even halfway competent guys came at Chris or Marlo, it's a wrap. A Navy SEAL couldn't get out of that situation.

It was pointed out in the show that Avon no longer had experienced soldiers. most of them were doing time or had been killed. Slim Charles even told Avon and Stringer that most of the new nikkas was green as fukk.
