don't try to understand most of their "logic". These nikkas in here acting like Kanye or Lebron being cool, rich and famous somehow affects the average black american

Being cool doesn't stop these cops from targeting us, profiling us, or gunning us down, being cool doesn't provide anyone black with property, business opportunities, gainful employment, transportation to get to their business or job, pay their bills, put clothes on their back or food in their stomachs, etc i could go on but although we are cool there needs to be more focus on making advancements than can actually help us as a group,

What's "cool" tends to be stuff stolen from a subculture. It has to be obscure before its popular. Also the fact that something's taboo makes it more interesting.

AA's are always cool because we are shyt on the most. We are a seperate culture within a nation so our shyt is not so foreign that it is difficult to imitate or appropriate by white folks.

Good point. Subcultures/minorities is always where innovation and the "cool" stuff comes from, regardless of what society we're talking about. Plus for AAs, music and culture were one of the things the slaves could keep and, when they got their freedom, invest in. Also add the importance of AA churches and singing and I guess it all explains why AA culture became so dominant in the US.

Regarding the world, well AAs are...American. So with the american market (300 million people), corporations and the use of English which became the international language in the late 20th it's easy to understand how it became the most dominant force worldwide. Same reason Hollywood is the most dominant movie industry worldwide : huge internal market, American corporations backing it for export, and the use of English. That's why you're more likely to see a shytty Hollywod movie anywhere in the world than a quality South-Korean one.

Hm.....I think its not necessarily a black thing but rather an African American and Jamaican thing . No disrespect to the Africans on here but nobody was copying yall so it might actually have something to do with perhaps the hardships of our past but then again why aren't Brazilian blacks doing anything on a massive global scale?......or its all just a coincidence

Africans are less copied because regarding for example Europe there was never a fascination for Africa as there was for the US (again, AAs are Americans). African culture/music/style was not "hype". Plus African countries do not have the necessary market to support cultural products at that level, as opposed to American corporations who cashed in on AA culture and had means to export it. Now that African culture is more developped it's starting to get more hype in Europe (music, theatre, dance, fashion).

Football, Bsketball, Soccer etc are dominated by non-europeans.

Soccer is dominated by Europeans breh, 4 out of the 5 last WC have been won by Euro nations, all the top leagues are in Europe. By football I guess you mean american football, no one cares about that outside the US. Basketball is dominated by AAs, but all the majority of other relevant basketball nations (Spain, Italy, Serbia, Croatia, France, Lithuania...) are European (Argentina is another powerhouse, Brazil depends on the years, and now Australia is in the mix).

We were the first to modernize, innovate and export our culture from Europe to The Caribbean to Africa to Asia to Latin America. We are also better at reinventing ourselves and discarding the old.

You can't talk MODERN Jamaican, Nigerian, South African, British, French art without mentioning the huge impact of African American culture on them as they have all heavily bitten at one point or another.

If you've ever listened to reggae, dancehall, afrobeat or naija pop then its self explanatory. If you've ever watched a Nollywood film, its apparent, too. Like someone said, house music is the dominant music in SA.
