Dallas, Texas but living in Houston, Texas
People act as if black people don’t live in these countries. lol. Literally spoke to a black Cuban talking about how hard life was there due To communism . Black coworker had the nerve to repeat this sentiment to them and they went off. No opportunities , just everybody poor together , while the government prospers
Yeah, when I visited Cuba in 2022, I talked with a lot of people down there. Black and white. None of them liked living there and I saw REAL poverty down there. Made me realize that even though America has a LOT of problems, we got it made compared to them. Now some of the conditions people in Cuba are experiencing is due to the embargo but a lot of it is due to the communist system as well.

When I was in the Marines, there was a Ukrainian in my unit he came to the United States in the late 90s when the Soviet Union collapsed. The Marines was a way to get his citizenship a lot quicker. He talked about life in the USSR as a child/teenager and stories from his parents and grandparents how life was like there in the 50s, 60s, etc. shyt was rough.

There's good and bad in every economic system but ain't no way I would live in a communist country. Maybe a country with an economic system like Germany(West Germany during the Cold War), Norway, etc. Capitalism with a strong safety net for the citizens.

You are an apologist for totalitarianism, not me.

Jim Crow was a totalitarian system that kept Black people from freely participating in the capitalist system by force. The very system of authoritarianism you want to implement.

Totalitarianism can be used in both socialist and capitalist systems. There is no such thing as a good totalitarian.

Please show me where and when black folk were unable to do business? My granddaddy was born in Richland Ga in 1910 and him and a bunch of other prominent blacks were wealthy as hell by the 1940s.

@Phil_Lewis_
In the early 1900s, a Black preacher named William Wright (nicknamed The Anarchist) gained a following of 300 Black squatters called the “United Socialists” who occupied homes and refused to pay rent — disregarding the property laws in Oklahoma

Who were the United Socialists: The Black anarchist squatters you’ve never heard of

That's really interesting, I had never heard of William Wright or the United Socialists before. It's amazing to learn about the ways in which marginalized communities have resisted unjust property laws throughout history. Thank you for sharing this piece of history

I wanna ask “what’s stopping us from doing this now?” But the military. The military is stopping us. See Gaza. A message to all of the world.

Robs you of the opportunity to make money with your own ideas and makes you dependent on, another man.

Safety nets are important but you should have the freedom to make money doing what you want to buy what you want

Part of the reason Cubs is the way it is, isn't because the political
experiment failed. Its because the US actively sanctions cuba and
prevents them from getting so many of the things they need.

It's difficult to be "successful" when your neighboring nation is the most powerful one in
the world and actively works against you every day.

Love the socialists/communist guys who always on “well TRUE socialism/communism has never been seen before”

Ya dont say commu-breh? No shyt…

Because someone HAS to be in charge. And human nature/history dictates they will abuse that power. And even if 99% of people tried to implement it, that 1% will still end up getting there and using it against them all.

My boy lives in a commune. He said people there coast by doing absolute least noone wants to do the dirty jobs. Everyone wants the easy ones. Even on micro level it barely works; and thats with a buncha hippies all with same mindsets. Now imagine dueling religions, races and so on. it never will take in this country due to the disparities alone; this aint china or russia.
