It's always funny when capitalist claim communism doesn't work because people are greedy. Maybe just maybe capitalism is driving the greed and the greedy are the ones pushing for capitalism. Whole civilisations existed before capitalism that were based on sharing things equally amongst the group and all doing their part for the greater good.

can’t believe there are idiots in here saying no black leaders were communists/socialists/anarchists when the majority were one of the 3. Especially if they were ever associated with the BPP OR BLA.

black against empire is a great read for a start. shyt changed my whole outlook

Yeah few people know that this was a major issue between black civil rights leaders...there was an ideological divide between the NAACP and communist leaning organizations back in the 20s, 30s and 1940s...People like Ralph Bunche, Abram Harris, WE Duboise and Langston Hughes were all connected to communist organizations....we only know about the NAACP like that because the Feds were willing to work with them and not the Communist leaning ones with the whole "Red Scare" going on in the 1950s (Brown v Board of Education, Scottsboro boys etc).

ANyone who's curious about it should look up the African Blood brotherhood (ABB) and the National Negro Congress (NNC) or the American Negro Labor Congress ANLC and the league of Struggle for Negro Rights....all of them were Black communist/socialist organizations that competed with the NAACP's approach to solve the civil rights problems during that time...

The only revolutionary black organizations of the 20th century, including African governments - were either openly socialist or openly communist.

Sounds like you drink whatever Kool-Aid the white man tells you to drink.

Yes, and that’s why they failed.

I see why you're in the red.

So the issue was socialism and not the Western European and American powers assassinating their leaders, invading their countries, installing puppet dictatorships, enforcing exploitative land contracts, cutting off capital and aid to the countries, and funding bloody civil wars between tribal groups?

Stop it breh.

Spot on. Capitalism incentivizes greed. We are a very adaptable species. And we have adapted to systems of hierarchy and exploitation. So much so that we really cannot fathom other ways of being.

In prehistoric times humans had far more freedom over how they chose to organize themsevles. Now we are all stuck under one mode of being and have forgotten that we collectively have a choice. And that understanding is what is missing from modern day humans. There are no natural laws that say we must all be wage slaves to be exploited for our labour. That was a choice. And its a choice we have all collectively and subconsciously agreed upon.

Once you look at it from that perspective you realize just how enslaved modern humanity is. We're all enslaved by an ideology. Its killing us. Its making us unhappy. And it is jeapardizing the planet. Very soon we'll come face to face with this reality and realize how foolish we were to fall for this collective delusion we call capitalism.

It is speculated that this is one of the reasons why he was killed. Fear of him waking up the masses to the exploitation of the poor no matter the race.
Think about how humanity use to operate off of the bartering system. Go from that to what we're doing now and draw a conclusion.

MLK was directly inspired by Leo Tolstoy, a Christian anarchist. The black panthers were socialists and utilized mutual aid in the capacity of soup kitchens and free healthcare for example. Che Guevara spent years of his life helping to foment revolution in Africa as well.
