He's not really independent, he was on a small label that was bought by Warner Bros. and they just ran with the "independent" marketing strategy cause they know it's more appealing to the hip-hop audience.

Im aware of this...But Mac Miller never got that REAL major push that Maclemore got. Miller's under Rostrum which is distributed by Fontana (under UMG) but he still doesnt have that MAJOR push behind him like Macklemore does
