How come Loki or Dr. Strange didn't use their Infinity Stones against Thanos??

Thanos even made fun of him for it.

Gotta believe the time fuccery in Avengers 4 will more than make up for it.

The Guardians killed Ronan doing that. Basically didn't happen with Strange and Loki was cause plot demanded it

Stones seem to have different requirements for their usage.

Without the gauntlet, the tesseract/Space stone needs an external mechanism to use it and so does the Time stone (you need to know the spell Strange learned locked up in one of Ancient One's off-limits books to use it.) Mind stone needs one too because Loki needed the scepter and outside of that, Vision, a whole damned being, was needed to harness its power. Aether/Reality stone was like some sort of free-flowing essence that possessed people if it wasn't contained, and you had to know how to use it too or it'd kill you like it was killing Jane Foster. Soul stone needed an entire human sacrifice to get in the first place, and we didn't get to see if Thanos would've been able to use it without the gauntlet since dude put that shyt right in there.

The Power stone -- the only explanation there is that Peter had his Ego powers which enabled him to withstand the already-activated Power stone, which had been activated inside of Ronan's hammer, and to channel it to fry Ronan. He and the Guardians would've been washed if they tried it again in Infinity War since he didn't have his powers anymore.

Yeah, Dr. Strange should have just redid his time loop, "I've come to bargain" trick.
But maybe he was just doing everything according to the winning plan he foresaw.

That's what I think. Strange probably saw that they were taking the L regardless, even if he used the Time Stone, and figured it better to just let shyt play out. Hell, considering how many futures he saw, it's possible using the Time Stone could have made everything worse.

His last line - "It was the only way" - suggests he knew there was no way they were winning that day, but they needed Tony alive. So he gave it up.

You saw how he slumped "we have a Hulk", early, light work. Took away his confidence too so he pretty much ended him.

He knew what would happen if he used the stone during the fight.

He saw 14 million outcomes and he saw the one outcome when they won....which is what happened at the end of the movie.

He didn't need to use it while fighting because he already saw the future and what was gonna happen

This movie made it clear that Hulk is just a schoolyard bully. He bout that action as long as "Hulk is strongest there is!" You could tell Thanos was confused by Doctor Strange cause everything he did was defensive. Especially when he turned the black hole into butterflies on some

Strange already knew what time it was. He just had to make sure everything played out the way he saw it. Ironman on the other hand had no clue so he came with everything he had against Thanos.

Yeah, and for that the ending is corny. For all the praise GotG gets it ended poorly IMO.
