Take away Timbo and dude is a nobody honestly. Static Major > Ginuwine
Dope artist, and I do think he gets his credit honestly. He wrote some of the best songs of that era.
I don't see the JT connection at all. The Neptunes and Timbaland said at the time they were trying to make a modern version of an MJ album on Justified, and that's obviously what it was. On the album after that they were inspired by Prince. I'm sure Ginuwine wasn't even thought of.
How yall rewriting history ?
They only real competition Ginuwine had was Usher and Chris Brown...
Only those bougie hoes and ABC's folks was fukking with JT in the hood talking about crying rivers with them stiff as dance moves ...
Not too many dudes from the 90's had a better run than G. I can only think of Kellz and Usher. He's not the goat but time has made him underrated for sure.
I would have to give it some thought but you are probably right. At the time groups were still dominate. Not too many dudes from the 90's had a better run than G. I can only think of Kellz and Usher.
are we talking signing skills?
I am talking about who had da whole entire package from Singing, dancing, production, and straight up star power. .....
outside of dancing, R Kelly was the GOAT, modern male R&B star
Pony will always be his signature song and used in cac movies and commercials but Differences was his biggest hit on the charts. This shyt had me ready to settle down along with "Let's Get Married" by JEwhat song is that? Pony always seemed like his biggest hit. That song is still played on the regular and more than any other Ginuwine songs I've heard in rotation. In Those Jeans doesnt seem like a bigger song than Pony.
