I don't care about the gender of the person who I'm talking with about films

I generally don't either, but...

...I had this thought while I was looking at the Godfather thread again.
The GOAT movies, and I could talk about them all day. A lot of dudes
in there was spittin' game about it, and I was curious as to a females' POV
of it, given some of the themes they touch on.

...then I thought "You know...you hardly see any females in here anyway..."
...then I thought "You know...I can count the number of in-depth convos with a chick about a film on one hand...
why is that? Broads STAY goin' to the movies..."

just a thought I had...

im assuming that since most movies are made by men, most women just dont relate to them the way men do. especially when it comes to the timeless "classics", there are practically no movies told from women's point of view, so asking them to be as opinionated about them as men is a bit much.

this, of course, leads to a discussion on what is a chick flick and why does the term have negative connotations. also, would a woman starting threads about mostly chick flicks get a positive response in here, or would their taste be brought into question? (as has already happened in this thread, LOL)

Yes they are...and because of them specifically in the title I used "don't hardly" instead of "never".

...yet and still, they don't really say much...

Maybe we're too much of a boys club? :whoknows:

On the other hand, the Locker Room is like simp central:beli:

This makes sense to me...but...women (not even just on here, but generally) always goin' to the movies, or talmbat goin'
to the movies, or talmbat movies they wanna see.

And then when they say they saw a movie you ask 'em what they thought and they'll just say "I liked it" or "It was long"
or something bland like that without really talkin' about it...

Yeah I've never known too many women that are analytical about film or tv. Doesn't mean they aren't as a whole but I've never met one
