i listen to some DMV rappes
goonew, borleone, xanman, cell chapo, lil dude. wale sometimes
moonman ballin
shy glizzy

I be tryna get into these up and coming brehs but there is nothing that stands out really a lot of copy and paste trend hop formula..

Wale held it down for a minute, but his style and content is/was to out the box for the consensus to appreciate.....on top of that his weird bi polar antics didn’t help his rep but he gets his respect...

Glizzy and Trel where unique and could have(still can) move the needle but they got some buzz and got lazy/uninspired...

Brooklyn keeps on taking it.
How come the cities of DC and Baltimore never produced any rappers? Two major cities on East Coast where black people are the largest population groups.

:patrice:

I’m actually surprised at many cities that have a black majority that can’t produce rappers.

And with all this talk about the south running things there are probably a whole bunch of cities down south with black populations that can’t produce rappers eitherZ

Jackson, Little Rock, Charleston, Savanah all come to mind.

Because DC and Baltimore are two of the shyttiest places in America, with the shyttiest people in America.

Facts.

:yeshrug:

typically tough environments produce the best art since you can draw and capture moments most have never seen :yeshrug:

With that being said, Baltimore is a hell hole.
