How come all the chicks in Sailor Moon were white?

Why do the Japs worship white people so much that they make all they anime characters white? The only asian in the crew was that nerdy dude who kept getting blowed off by Sailor Mercury. And they did the same thing in Dragonball Z. All the Sayins were white. The only asians were Krillin and Tien. I know I shouldn't be surprised but it would've been nice if they threw a couple of black chicks in the mix.

Sidenote: Sailor Mars still the baddest bytch. I'd give it all up for her.

japanese people are pretty pale compared to other asians, but they do have a fascination with blonde hair and blue eyes. A friend of mine who once served in navy told me they panned Brad Pitt from Japan, so they woman wouldn't want a white man, but I don't know if that's true.

You'd be surprise how many japs actually look like anime characters though, but I do think its a lil self hate. I met with a producer at the sci-fi channel, a pitched him an idea for idea for a series, he liked it but told me to change my characters to blonde hair blue eyed, then went on about how my main character should be more like julias caesar, by then i was pretty annoyed by this sushi eating muthafukka, but nevertheless I also think they make their characters white because white people are their customers for a lot of anime in america

There are very few animes that don't use white characters. Even characters that can pass for ethnic have a lot of white features so you can't really tell.

The blonde hair and blue eyes thing i agree that is a little self hating, but they don't see pale skin and big eyes as an white thing. you got to remember not all asians look like charlie chan, there are some with big eyes and natural pale skin.

On the real, I thought they were on that self-hate steez, but nope. They think these characters are Japanese by default unless otherwise stated, like in Fullmetal Alchemist for example. You have a fictional version of Europe, Central Europe, and Asia, and all the characters looks fall in line with their region. They don't look at it the same way we do because, to them, there is no default stereotypical Asian look.

Yep, even old cac-bred looking-ass Naruto is Japanese by default, my nikka.
