No it wasn't. There was 32% black people in Chicago in 1970 just like there is today.

There was 3.3 million people in 1970 as opposed to 2.6 million in 2010, but that doesn't nearly mathematically account for over double the murders then based on proportionality.

I'm not suggesting that the root of the problem is rap albums, I'm saying that raps about selling drugs to black people, songs about murdering black people and songs about disrespecting black women exacerbate the problems.

It is strange. Newark had 111 murders for 270,000 people in 2013. That is far worse than 415 homicides for 2,700,000 people in Chicago.

A better solution would be to get tougher on gangs and gang members. Treat them like terrorists, because they are technically domestic terrorists. Gang affiliation should be treated as harshly as terrorist organization affiliation
