in that video i just posted he's talking about reducing the population by millions of people. :patrice:
I don't know how many times I'm going to have to do this.

He's not trying to use vaccines to kill people. Even if he did, WHY would he say so?!

:snoop:

Here's how it works. Developing and distributing vaccines for diseases that kill children means that fewer children will die. Eventually, instead of having a bunch of children to ensure that SOME of them make it to adulthood, parents realize they can now have fewer children, because the chances of survival are much higher.

Less incentive to have many children per family --> less children per family. Not only does this mean fewer kids, but it means that the kids that they DO have get more nutrition and care. The generation that reaps the extra investment will be better educated and better workers. This benefits the entire country.

:snoop: im very familiar with all this information. I know that developed societies have less children. you think you just told me something i didnt fukking know? :heh:

The fact is he is a eugenicist, by the very definition. He's not giving vaccines to kids because he wants to save lives. He's doing it because he wants to reduce world population. He openly says that.

He puts up an equation where the population of the earth is a variable, and then says one of these variables has to go to zero. But youre too stupid to do math I guess.

His father ran planned parenthood at one point. Learn some history about eugenics... Here's a picture of the founder of planned parenthood..

Wanting to change the current trend in population growth doesn't make one a "eugenicist."

Reducing the number of children parents have in developing countries is a GOOD thing.

I know damn well who his father is, and, as stated before, he's another GREAT man, just as his son is.

Saving lives and slowing population growth go hand-in-hand in these developing countries. We NEED to stem the world's population growth -- it's unsustainable.

So what about that makes Bill Gates a "piece of shyt?"

Oh and you shouldn't try to discredit my scholastic ability while simultaneously being such a fukking idiot.

So in all that great scholastic ability you have there, did you know world population is projected to level off? :lolbron:

By 2100, there will likely be more than 10 billion people living on Earth.

After 2100, the population level will probably plateau

I got a 3.9 in Developmental & Population Econ :smugdraper:
I don't have a god damn PhD on the topic, but I know some shyt. I know enough to know that Bill Gates is doing the right thing and all I've heard in this thread so far is people either disregarding facts or making their own unreasonable inferences to discredit him. It's DUMB.

It's not a Bill Gates dikk riding fest, it's a shoot-down-confused-conspiracy-theorists fest and you guys are making it easy.

what conspiracy theory did i advocate? he openly says he wants to REDUCE world population. yet somehow you think he wants to save lives :krs:

I showed you a mainstream news article showing you that world population is expected to plateau. google it, theres more than i can copy and paste. but i guarantee you didnt know that with your fukking 3.9. gtfoh,

So youre saying there's too many people and that we need to do whatever it takes to reduce world population? because I have a fundamental problem with that idea.

Have you ever heard of Malthus? Ever heard the term Malthusian catastrophe? People have literally been saying the world's overpopulated for 200 years. How the fukk can a group of people be so wrong for so long and still claim their ideology is sound? 200 years this ideology has been wroooooooonnnnnngggg! :shhh: Where's the conspiracy theory in that?

The Reverend (Thomas) Robert Malthus FRS (13 February 1766 – 23 December 1834[1]) was a British cleric and scholar, influential in the fields of political economy and demography.[2] Malthus himself used only his middle name Robert.[3]

Malthus became widely known for his theories about change in population. His An Essay on the Principle of Population observed that sooner or later population will be checked by famine and disease. He wrote in opposition to the popular view in 18th-century Europe that saw society as improving and in principle as perfectible.[4] He thought that the dangers of population growth precluded progress towards a utopian society: "The power of population is indefinitely greater than the power in the earth to produce subsistence for man".[5] As a cleric, Malthus saw this situation as divinely imposed to teach virtuous behaviour.[6] Malthus wrote:

That the increase of population is necessarily limited by the means of subsistence,
That population does invariably increase when the means of subsistence increase, and,

That the superior power of population is repressed, and the actual population kept equal to the means of subsistence, by misery and vice.[7]

Here's Bill Gate's equation from his TED speech. He says one of the variables needs to go to zero, or "close" to zero. guess what the variables are...

gatesequation.jpg

How can you guys stand here and support this ideology. He openly says, either population needs to go to zero, services for people need to go to zero, energy needs to go to zero, or co2 emission needs to go to zero. :snoop:

The only one that doesnt involve completely destroying society is co2 emissions. Look at the fukking equation....

You infinite jackass, that is ONE projection. The UN has three possible projections for the world population that range from negative growth, to leveling off, to continuing the current exponential growth.
You're really trying to explain to me who Thomas Malthus is :dahell:
Just so you know, there are very respected economists who have Malthusian perspectives on population. I briefly studied them.

Anyways, I'll deal with your bullshyt (I'm sure there will be more) sometime after I wake up.

Once again, im very familiar with the U.N's projections. This is a subject I've been obsessed with.

http://www.un.org/apps/news/story.asp?NewsID=45165

13 June 2013 – The current world population of 7.2 billion is projected to increase by 1 billion over the next 12 years and reach 9.6 billion by 2050, according to a United Nations report launched today, which points out that growth will be mainly in developing countries, with more than half in Africa.

The report, World Population Prospects: the 2012 Revision, notes that the population of developed regions will remain largely unchanged at around 1.3 billion from now until 2050. In contrast, the 49 least developed countries are projected to double in size from around 900 million people in 2013 to 1.8 billion in 2050.

Answer my question, do you feel the world is overpopulated? What must be done about it :drevil:

Do you realize that calling for reduction in world population means youre saying there needs to be less black people in Africa? Since that's where HALF the growth is expected.
