How can you claim to be against white supremacy, but still perpetuate its legacy?

Chicago rap is mostly trash and aside from Chance, Common, Kanye and a select few, it's always been street oriented.

Chicago puts the most out because it's the gang capital of the United States. And even then, walk by some of the most ratchet places here, you will hear a multitude of things music wise.

Chicago can't be compared to other places.

chance, common, kanye :heh: meanwhile, the overwhelming majority of music i hear coming out of chicago is the "drill" c00n tunes. music that's solely based around killing nikkas. :stopitslime:

i mean, chicago is really a great example of this shyt. how many rappers and non-rappers have been killed over some goddamn lyrics?

you do realize that the world sees this and thinks to themselves : "their acting black" right? YOU may not, but the world does. This song and video is linked to "black". Are you proud of that?

fukk you mean :what:

Them dudes ain't doing shyt or nothing major and having been around some of these "rappers" (they ain't rappers), not that many. Dudes get killed for shyt they do outside of the studio.

yet they're the only ones that sell records. Most of these young dudes can't even get radio play here, even on Ratchet Power92

wouldn't it be great if some of these highly influential Chi-town street rappers started making music about white supremacy and how to combat it instead of about killing other blacks:mjcry:

Music about who created the conditions that inspire the violence and gangs instead of glorifying the gang lifestyle and pumping drugs into the community:mjcry:

It never fails. The only 2 artists yall can ever name in the mainstream: Cole & Lamar. But according to yall most black people are regular and are like Cole & Lamar right? So again, why doesn't the mainstream represent us to reflect this?

Another example of the results of the demonization, distortion and manipulation of the black image. If you aren't rapping about killing other black people and being a swagged-out drug-lord, you're "soft"

Checking ourselves does not equal parroting white supremacy. Some black folks do things that are deleterious to the cause and those things need to be addressed so that we can all improve. The biggest problem with this current generation of people is that anything other than blatant ass kissing is considered an attack. Nobody believes that they should be checked. White folks may use certain talking points when pushing a certain agenda but best believe they don't truly give a fukk. White supremacists like it when black folks kill other black folks. They like it when our women make poor choices and our men don’t do their jobs and in turn the next generation suffers. They like it when being “real” means rejecting education and harming your community. They like having kids looking up to mumble mouthed sociopathic cross dressing drug addicts. What they don’t like is black folks rejecting these things and yearning for more and working to come together and do better. The only way to end white supremacy is to stop clinging to things that it has pushed upon us (the hood, broken families, lack of unity, prison, genocide etc) and just do what is best for us as a community without worrying about what white folks are saying.

what? you're the one who picked it as an example of asians rapping about killing asians. can you at least prove it?
@God's Gift. we're going to need those lyrics to verify
I found the lyrics and I'll admit i used a bad example:francis:

All rappers don't have to make the same type of music
