I've seen, multiple times on here, posters commenting that homosexuality, "goes against nature." The example is usually that two men/women can't produce a child. That is true, but to say that homosexuality goes against nature implies that nature (evolution/biology) has an ACTUAL purpose outside of the ones we, as human beings, have attached to it. Of course there is the natural drive to reproduce, and we see these patterns all throughout the animal kingdom, but there is no ACTUAL purpose of life. There is no ACTUAL purpose of human life. It just is. So how can something go against nature if nature, itself, has no actual purpose?

I think this as everything else is a matter of perception, try seeing it as "human nature".
I don't think that when people say something goes against nature they are talking about trees and volcanoes, but about the meaning that we (humans) gave to what is supposed to be natural.

I am not against homosexuality and I think that everybody should be able to do whatever the fukk they want, but that doesn't take away the fact that it is not "natural" to our eyes... Maybe in 100 years it will be different, who knows?....

I guess thats my point. That the term natural is subjective, and relative. No one in here has given me an ACTAUL purpose of: nature, procreation or life outside of the meanings and purposes--created by man--assigned to those elements of life. Also, the word purpose is being used to imply that the desire to reproduce is because of some cosmic feeling of duty, or responsibility when really its just something we do.
