As a person who enjoys AEW way more than WWE, I genuinely think the exaggerated AEW hatred is a direct response to the constant nonstop venom AEW diehards have towards WWE

I can agree with this. It's usually marks accusing other marks of being marks and it almost always involves a hypocritical talking point.
For example, I recently saw somebody say that Lashley's run won't last because WWE doesn't like black wrestlers. Okay, how is AEW's track record on that?

When the vast majority of the "love" people have for AEW is based around shyt like "proof of concept" and "anti-WWE" or ratings or quite simply trolling, then that should tell you what it is. A good portion of comments,whether in threads or on social media, about AEW is shyt like "10000 tickets sold!" or "did you hear that pop, ____ is over" or "800k in the 18-49 demo guys!"...people aren't even discussing the actual show. People still just fake-like it just to be on that side.
