The 400 and something day title reign was underwhelming. It's all about money (which it should be), and the biggest moneymakers that got I think involves some combination of Rock, Cena, Lesnar, and Taker.
Cena is not a huge money maker though. His merchandise sells but his impact on ratings have been lost and he doesn't mean shyt on PPV. Once Rock is gone, WWE is gonna see some terrible lows.
Breh Hogan is my avi...lol I loved it when Hogan won the belt at mania 9 and in 02
Like it or not Rock brings asses to seats and television screens...and yes a lot has to do with Rock not being around for 10 yrs...if he stayed around there would be diminishing returns
But guys like Hogan (maybe not presently) shawn michaels, austin, have built enough equity to credibly carry the belt at any given moment and garner interest ratings and main event credibility if they can perform at 60%-80% of their prime work rate in the ring.

It was underwhelming cause they didn't do ANYTHING for it
They had absolutely nothing planned and they let the ratings plummet so badly that Vince himself had to have a fukking hardcore match with the champ to save the shyt.
Punk did such a good job with what they gave him which was pretty much nothing, dude. :goatshrug:

It's also Rock's first title in over a decade which, in my opinion, deserved a more substantial build. I'm not saying he shouldn't be champ, I just thought it could have been done better, for both guys. I don't even think it was bad, the match was good and I enjoyed the interactions in the build up.
Vince is like 70 years old...he doesn't get that Rock/Brock and Cena/Taker are the two biggest matches he can do. He's just obsessed with pushing Cena. Same shyt he's always been on. He LITERALLY came back like two times last year just to bully Vickie into giving Cena title shots? Never seen ANYTHING LIKE IT ever.
BTW..this stuff gets more entertaining by the hour
If he was a true all time great, he would of made something happen. Austin did. Bryan is saddled with tag team comedy and still steals the show.

The IWC is full of idiots who don't understand how business works. That's why they don't understand the very basic concept of why Rock/Cena gets a rematch.
I think we all get it, it's a "big match".
But it's a big match we've already seen and it's not bigger than a match they could have: Brock vs. Rock.
