Yeah I got a homie who was apart of the Moorish Science Temple in Los Angeles during his teen years.

We met in college and he tried to put me on but after doing the research on what he was saying, shyt didn't add up even at 18 years old.

I had the same questions as you --- "What language did they speak?", "Where were their cities?", "What about Native Americans?", etc.

He outgrew that shyt for the most part tho lol. Haven't heard him talk about being Moorish for a few years.

It's no different than the NOI or the 5 percenters.

It's a way to build self-esteem and knowledge of self.

I get it. Some people need that.

Much of these things are half truths, so I don't write everything off on BS especially based on the history I have learned about myself. That said most of these people are coming across information they don't even understand thus they try to force things together to fit the narrative they want to believe.

Where did mostly BlackPearl The Empress claim she wasn't black/African American/African/Negro? It seem like everybody trying to make her less black than what she really is lol.

If you are saying you are indigenous to America then you are saying you are not African and thus not African American. Thats basic logic.

Prove it.

My face has been seen...yours has not.
I posted my face and website on here plenty of times, you just missed it. Not posting my picture for men to see if I'm Black or not.

But I grew up in Decatur, GA and went to Howard University.

Not too many white boys with those credentials.

You just mad cuz I don't believe in that Moorish American stuff :manny:

I thought she or someone else posted that she had some native in her. If that's true then a part of her is indigenous to America but her chart looked like "Pac man" lol so the majority of her make up is indeed African and I didn't see her one time in here distance herself from that.

you're not reading the thread properly :yeshrug: she 1 percent native (about the AA average) and has said she is "Asiatic" and indigenous to America multiple times meaning she isn't African in her mind.

The problem with that is the self-esteem boost is often at the expense of other Black folks.

There's a real air of self loathing and elitism in a lot of these kinds of movements that aren't often addressed IMO.

True.

No different than real ethnic groups/tribes that think they are better than "insert other Black group".

I think that's just human nature tho.

Yeah I figured most African Americans have between 70 and 80 percent African genes

Yeah pretty soon we might have to revise this thinking, because as more African Americans are getting tested it looks like that number might end up being higher than many people originally believed. Today my aunt got her DNA test results back and we found out that she is 95% African, which is as high as many Africans from the continent. I have 10 other uncles and aunts as well as my mom and lots of siblings, cousins, etc., and I am convinced that most of them will also be in the 90%+ territory because my uncles, aunts and mom all have the same parents. However, for whatever reason I only came out to 87% African (86% is African and 1% is called Polynesian which is really from Madagascar), which probably means that my dad had less African DNA than my mom.

The kicker is that being dark skinned does not determine how African a person is. My aunt is medium brown and she 95% African. My brother-in-law got his results back and he is really dark skinned, but he is only 86% African.
