We're always understaffed at the hospital, with so many positions unfilled. This is the same in hospitals across the country.

I don't know if they can't find people or just bullshyting by posting these jobs online.
Healthcare has a huge shortage with not enough ppl to fill those positions. A lot of ppl get burned out…that’s why there’s a shortage…12-16 hour shifts 😬. My friend is a physician assistant and works 24 hour shifts… so maybe 2-3 days a week.

Doctors might make $200k but work long hours. Having 450-500 patients per month while also juggling paperwork.:to:

One thing I see is people who are having a hard time calling things a recession. Nah B, food being expensive and your job prospects suckin don’t mean a recession. One market can be ass and another booms.

If folks wanna keep claiming we were in one, wait till you see whats coming soon. Easy money was cut causing contractions in some industries that were super obvious (Technology for a few years) while others were more region dependent. You could have had a shyt market here but move 200 miles over there and suddenly hiring. At the worst tech hiring time for instance, FAANG type companies were laying off but healthcare IT was hiring like crazy in the Chicago area.

Recession: A significant decline in economic activity that is spread across the economy, lasting more than a few months, and normally visible in production, employment, real income, and other indicators. Usually, 2 quarters of negative growth.(GDP)

Rn, household savings are decreasing, unemployment getting worse, stock market flatlining (trending down), and consumer prices on the rise.

On the latter, inflation is pretty clear. Recession here for many but officially not called yet

We're probably already in one. The way the calculation works, it takes 2 months of the market contracting (plus one other stat I can't remember). It'll probably be official in April or May.
I think its two quarters of gdp contraction or something

2 quarters of negative gdp growth. We actually had that in the first half of 2022 but we were gaslit for 4 years with Dems saying the economy was great. Idk where you have been since 2022 but ever since the fed started raising interest rates in 2022-2023 it has been hard as hell to get a job. It seems like the tech job market is just now getting better.

This is extremely interesting to me and I want to know more like how and why that happens
And are you saying that's how it will happen this time?

Because I'm willing to move

Nah, and its 100% due to tariffs. Some people in here are talking about they were "gaslit" when the economy was actually good, it was just not equitable. We had a K-Shaped recovery which meant a lot of us felt nothing at best (me) and a bunch of us felt worse off after Covid.

A giant recession thats going to hit quick as fukk. Then you will have so many workers competing for jobs due to government layoffs which begets government contractor layoffs that will hit some areas much harder (DMV and other fed-job hubs)...its gonna be rough. People act like they forgot what a recession is. We haven't been there, the market was just not fair to everyone.

I don't know what keeps you from not giving up in life because those two dikkheads decided to ruin the economy :mjcry:

Try something in healthcare. They are always hiring. You can game the system with OT too if you wanted. My advice would be to look at a special needs program. You said you have experience in teaching. They'll likely give you a look. It'll pay you more than you're making now and it's easy work.. When I was in college, I worked for the state for a little while educating kids with autism.
