there's still jobs in tech but there's no more easy money like before. you need to have a skillset that's in-demand. some bullshyt "hey I'm a scrum master. gimme 100k" isn't gonna cut it anymore.I'm looking at tech too and I heard that there are mad layoffs and that the market is oversaturated.
2020 might have been it, for goodI was 19

if we're being honest, that kinda has to happenI’ve heard that with the tariffs, he’s trying to cause a bit of a crash in the market in order to get lower interest rates…![]()
I think it has to be 2 consecutive quarters of contraction to officially be a recession. But you don't need there to be an official recession in order to recognize the economy is getting worse. We're probably already in one. The way the calculation works, it takes 2 months of the market contracting (plus one other stat I can't remember). It'll probably be official in April or May.
Seems like the measures for that stuff is really meant to warn and help wealthy people in financeRecession is measured mostly by inflation and the stock market, not the fortunes of the middle class.
If it was measure by middle class success we've been in a recession a little over 30 years, as that's how long wages have stagnated.
But if that was the narrative it would be bad for the market...which primarily benefits the upper financial classes.
Same for me, 2 certs with a few years experience and damn near impossible to find something in that field. Was thinking about finding something in the trades.I've been trying to look for new jobs since September and I shyt you not, had no success whatsoever. Nowhere is hiring and the ones that are hiring, I got ghosted or had my offer rescinded. I got an entire job involving auto insurance that nearly hired me before they decided to put the job on "hold". Anything that's not part-time or fast food or retail is a crapshoot and even those fukking jobs is hard to get into as I got rejected from fukking Target and Starbucks out of all places. I got a degree in Public Relations and it's tough to get a job in PR if you don't know anyone and I tried networking with my former classmates and professors and I've been getting the run around. I'm looking at tech too and I heard that there are mad layoffs and that the market is oversaturated. I'm stuck at substitute teaching and doing security on the side for work now. How tf is people supposed to feed themselves and their families and put a roof over their heads if the economy is shyt????

Same, been applying to all kinds jobs, nothing…last job I worked at, they laid off all production, even ppl that were there for 20+ years…to move to MexicoI’ve been applying like you since last year. Only received one offer. Probably applied to over 100 positions. Three total interviews.
shyt sucks out here. Once my compan’s five year contract runs out, I don’t know what I will do. Hopefully I can plug into the govt. when trump is out, I’ll be applying for govt jobs again. Maybe go CIA if I haven’t aged out already.
Keep trying brotha.
