Lies. They played the whole damn Blueprint album on Power 106. I'm not talking about 3 songs. I mean the WHOLE album. They used to do that back in the 70s before radio station became corporate.

What’s with all the Jay Z bashing? I’m not even a super fan nor a super hater. It’s getting old.
Yea I’m not a big fan of Jay Z either , but all this with different people (Mel, Gipp , Spice) It’s the same platform I think. The interviewer just got a little momentum going so he just gonna keep asking everybody the same thing for them views lol

Not give them money probably
That’s not it

It’s their names not being praised

And they are jay’s peers

Money? Ehhh?

I would say opportunity’s for the legends

Let’s say jay set them up with tours etc… ( which I think he can do)

They would love him

Just my opinion

For this to be a hip hop board yall sure are behind.

Billboard just released their greatest rappers of all time list and put Jay-Z at number one so of course every hip hop vlogger with a brain is going to call up their connections to get their opinions.

Right but common sense aint so common and Jay Z fans swear they aren't stan crazed like other rapper fanbases.

Spice 1 didn't even say anything crazy but I'm sure the Jay Z superfans went off the headline to continue the "he is the bar he is the goat because art of dialogue keeps bringing him up to rap vets"

its like since that best rapper ranking thing came out people took it to heart. and in a lot of folk mind, they just love Pac. I love Pac but he wasnt god when he was here. its like they want to tear Jay down to hype Pac. hence what Gipp and Spice are doing.

And it's unnecessary. Pac's legacy and impact are not in question. But every day this board wants to rewrite Jay's success and HIS impact because he's still alive to have a say in how he's seen. Again they do the same to his wife regarding Aaliyah when the similarities are -10.

They want these artists to fight ghosts and it's strange. If Jay had fell off in relevancy in 2003 no one would care and it would probably be a more honest conversation about his talent as well.

songs like do it again, dead pres, jigga what, etc...nah, but they got ordered on the box a lot, which what played on the box was based on local orders (tho i'm sure there was payola to get shyt played in every market)...so someone was listening. and everyone at in middle/high school had Vol 2, 3 and BP - we listened to jay lol

It is interesting, I meet a lot of people that say they have Jay as the goat but then you see what they play and not his records. Like it’s weird, people don’t rock with Jay musically as they may say. This isn’t me knocking him because I play a lot of Jay. I see this with other artist too. People talk very highly of artist, list them as the bar for rap but don’t listen to their music. They might be able rap bars they heard on big records.
