Well they have their own gyms..Like even Russ now plus those athlete like him can always find a location to work out...The lockdown didn’t much have a bearing on them.

The thing that got me beat is Chris taking the baby out I low key don’t want my kids out at all well my teenager he gots to go but not my little ones...and they damn sure have mask and gloves when I do have to take them out and even than they have rarely got out the car.
shyt is bugged out. I hope they stay good

All they had to do was mandate mask wearing, slowly open the appropriate businesses. It is proven that masks help cutdown spread by a huge margin.

Are they wearing masks there? Thing about Ottawa is it's not heavily dense, shyt is open. Downtown Toronto we have some serious density issues here. I see a lot of mask wearing here.....Then I'll go in another area and see minimal use of masks.

@Rarely-Wrong Liggins

Looks like......you're wrong.

About what? Are you implying that I said there wouldn't be an increase in infections and deaths in areas that reopened? I'm going to need you to find that for me. I'm quite sure I said the opposite. However, what I did say is that the increase in infection and death won't match an Italy or NYC style disaster, and that, I stand by.

Let me remind you of something really quickly here.

Harris County, which encompasses Houston and adjacent suburbs, has recorded 15,552 cases, almost one-fifth of the 81,583 statewide total, according to state health department data released Thursday.

Fatalities, however, remain small compared to so-called hot spots in other parts of the U.S. Harris County’s cumulative death toll of 267 is only about a third of what New York state was amassing during the darkest days of the outbreak.

In Texas, conditions are actually worse in Dallas County, a jurisdiction with 2 million fewer residents than Harris County that’s had 2.6% more deaths, according to the state health department figures.

During the entirety of the pandemic Harris County has less deaths in these three months than New York state had in one day during their epidemic peak. I believe in Texas we are at about 2,000 fatalities, rounded up. In three months Texas has lost less lives to COVID than New York state lost in three days during the epidemic peak. Yes, the Texas strategy leaves a lot to be desired but with no Federal stimulus for the states what can you do? Seriously, what can you do? Answer that. How will you pay unemployment? And that's just the most pressing question. You can't sit out the virus if the government refuses to provide a proper stimulus.

And this is what a disaster looks like.....

1,223,647 NYC tested
205,405 NYC confirmed cases
21,993 NYC deaths

Source Coronavirus in New York City

Houston is at the precipice of an uncomfortable realization; living with the virus and it's consequences for the long term. Also, the 88% ICU occupancy is worrying, but of course those aren't just COVID cases alone. Keep things in perspective.

I said way back when Texas was on that bullshyt like stopping Louisiana residents at the border that Abbot wasn't handling it right and the number of infections in Texas was much higher than they were reporting.

They should have locked everything down until fall with the exception of restaurants, grocery stores, pharmacies, and other essential businesses.

These Republicans were in a hurry to open the economy back up which was entirely political.

You have a holiday like the 4th of July coming and people are going to gather.

If you think this shyt is a mess now wait intl they start trying to put 70,000-100,000 people in these stadiums in the fall for football season.

Shyt is going to be mess and I would be surprised if we weren't back on stay at home orders for a time.

Wrong. I have always said that reopening with mandatory PPEs and social distancing along with testing and contact tracing would be the way to go. Now you tell me how these othe states followed those guidelines. I’ll wait.

Countless other countries have re-opened and are doing fine. Why do you think that is? Thry reopened with strict PPE and social distancing uidelines.

You and many others can’t seem to grasp that you can reopen intelligently. Y’all seriously want lockdowns to last 2 years.

I’m not sure if you’re a liar or have a reading comprehension problem
I’ll say this ...

The crowd who wants full lockdowns for several years & those that don’t want any form of lockdown are a weird bunch .

There are a lot on here unfortunately

For sure. It's like either one way or the other whereas I'm about something in the middle.

We all saw this coming
This is why it's not surprising. The doctors have been warning about this for the longest. People act like just bc we don't talk about it it's gone. The numbers are going up everywhere.
