I will never understand why more teams don't do this. Call up your young players early if they've shown they're good enough to get an opportunity. I know people are tired of hearing about them but just look at what the Braves do with their young players.

But financially conscious teams would rather enjoy the pre arb years where you make nothing knowing they won’t wanna make that long term commitment anyway.

For example, Aaron Judge prior to his walk year had only made $20 mil over the course of his career and the fake broke Yankees loved that his salary wasn’t forcing them to pay luxury taxes. Judge got the last laugh because if they had any faith in him, they woulda had him on a Braves deal til he was 34 at half of what he makes now.
