I don't see it being talked about anywhere but Acuna's strikeout rate is WAY down this season. For his career, he was averaging over one a game. This year, he's about one every other game.
What's that translated to? A career high .339 batting average; career high in OBP and OPS; on pace for over 200 hits; on pace for a career high in runs; already a career high in stolen bases and on pace for 70+; already has a career high in doubles and on pace for about 40; still gonna wind up with 30+ home runs.
In short, Acuna has been unlocked this year and it should be sending a clear message across baseball about what kind of approach hitters should be taking at the plate.
