You @ ed the wrong person lol. Also look at the free agency class. There's Shohei and not much else worth getting hype about. They'll bid for Shohei. Do I think he'll ultimately sign with the Mets? no but that's not the Mets decision.Still think Max was bullshytting @Ineedmoney504 ? Straight from the horse's mouth Cohen just said he couldn't promise him they'd be "All in" next season LOL

I guess Cohen, Eppler and everyone in the FO should be super open about their plans with a person they want to move cuz they don't see the value of them in the next year.
Next year's free agent class is way better. They greatly improved their farm while also not fooling themselves about this year and just hoping things are better next year. It's not like they won't sign anyone this fall. Stearns will probably running the show as well instead of Eppler.
People were calling the rotation old and washed but we were supposed to also roll that out next year with everyone else older and just assume what that everyone will be better again?
- Dodgers get: Betts, Price, cash (all from Red Sox) and Brusdar Graterol, outfielder Luke Raley, 2020 Competitive Round B draft pick, (from Twins)
- Red Sox get: Alex Verdugo, Jeter Downs, Connor Wong (from Dodgers)
- Twins get: Kenta Maeda, catcher Jair Camargo, cash (from Dodgers)
Any interest in Ohtani would obviously have you overlook one year. He's literally the only dude you do that for, but at the end of the day, it's up to him. I think Cohen views it the same way as any sane businessman would. If he signs with someone else and the Mets aren't one of the last 3 teams he's choosing from, that wouldn't mean they weren't serious bidders imo.Listen, you can say what you want and make those predictions and what not, that's fine but Cohen said what he said breh. Are they going to make a serious bid at Ohtani? I mean a serious bid. Saying, "oh we offered him $400M over 10 and he turned it down" isn't a serious bid.
fukking Phillies stuck with Turner for a decade
What a fukking bust and just made Phillies lose this game
I was a fool to think we would fall apart without himTurner & correa been awful this season, combined 1.8 war on base % in the 290’s
