The price of Tommy Pham and Mark Canha going up :lolbron:

I wonder how much of this is teams were sending trash offers vs. the Cubs going for it. On paper, the Cubs should win the NL Central. Only team with a positive run differential in the division and it's top-four in the NL.

Rental bats like Bellinger aren't valued enough. Lineup depth is more important than pitching in the postseason, imo, because so very few teams actually have it. The O's, Rays and Astros could really use Bellinger. He should command at least three prospects.

This isn't the NBA where you can find a difference maker just about anywhere in the draft if you know what you're doing. Almost all of these prospects are a roll of the dice. If I'm giving you a guy who can hit at the Major League level at a high level, I need at least three cracks at it with the prospects.

I think it’s more about the cubs winning 8 in a row & 10 out of 11. They play the reds & brewers like 9 times each post deadline & are 3.5 out the central & 3 out the wc

And any team could’ve signed him for free in the offseason. He was a late signing.

He wouldn’t want to come here to Houston though after all
hat trash talk about stealing mvp’s lol

the fact that teams don't get draft pick compensation along with the player is what hurts value. Before, you could trade for Bellinger and not give a shyt if he left because you get a sandwich pick. Now you don't.

But teams need to stop worrying about these player's service time or 40 man situations. Too many players batting .150 that teams are for whatever reason scared to DFA because they don't wanna ruin someone's value. 4-5 levels of prospects and teams are pretending the guy on the cusp of making it to the show is the last one they'll have.

Wonder what Blake Snell's gonna get in the winter. He's having a great year but this is the first time since 2018 he'll throw over 130 innings and that was the only season of his career he's gone over 130.

The talent's always been there but you cannot commit big money to a starter who isn't an innings eater.

He's gonna get Rodon money, which is fine cuz he's better than Rodon.

That contract already sucks more than the Ellsbury deal.

So-Fla
Orioles have a stacked farm system with many position players that are in the way of others

They should go after Verlander full force
