I think over time he will play well.
But okay. Send him down.

But if they do, there needs to be a plan. You don’t just send a guy down because he’s struggling. You have to identify a flaw for him to correct in the minors.

Then again, the ML team is trash so what’s the difference in him working it out here?

How many HR did judge have around this time last year ? If ohtani keeps this up, he might brake judge's record.

Your take on the Blue Jays?
Bichette won’t be the AL MVP but he deserves some votes.

Vlad is elevating the ball more but the HRs just haven’t happened.

Nobody thought Manoah would be as bad as he was. But I think baseball people expected some regression.

Gausman is a stud.

Berrios makes no sense. Statistically he should be performing better. I can’t explain it.

Chapman is the most improved hitter in the game this year.

I think the Blue Jays have enough offense to beat anyone. But they need to improve their pitching. Maybe via trade. But I don’t know who is available. Maybe Eduardo Rodriguez in Detroit? That’s who I would want. Alex Cobb would interest me. The Mets might dangle Carlos Carrasco but I think he’s finished.

Ohtani makes me feel like I did watching Ken Griffey Jr growing up. He's so fun to watch. I've said it before and will keep saying it, I'm very happy to be alive at the same time as Ohtani. :blessed:

What do you think about the jays defense/fielding. On paper it’s probably one of the best in the league. Top 5 even. Especially on outfield- daulton Varsho, george springer, and Kevin Kiermaier.

Chapman st 3B and bichette at SS. Catching tandem: Jansen/Kirk.

Vladdy jr at first base. At second base it’s a platoon of biggio/merrifield/espinal. I’d say 2B is our weakest spot on the field.

Pitching :bullpen needs a massive upgrade. Weakest link of our team now. Mitch white, yimi garcia, so much trash in our relief pitching.

Kikuchi and Gausman are very reliable and solid Starters. Berrios is much better than last year, 2022 was probably the worst year of his career. Bassitt and especially Manoah have regressed.

Defense isn’t something I care about too much as long as it’s not awful.

And typically you’d care about it more at the middle infielder and CF positions.

Toronto is about a league average defensive team, which I think is good. Or good enough.

I don’t think Toronto catches Tampa, but the longer the Yankees stay in a funk, the better the chances they can pull away from them for the Wild Card.

And they really want to do that. Because the Angels and Astros are gonna battle it out like a motherfukker for the other Wild Card spot.

(Maybe even Texas since I think they start to slip in the 2nd half)

I should add that Baltimore looks for real.
The Wild Card races this year look brutal.
