Now if you are looking at Richmond/Westheimer on the opposite side of Beltway 8
That’s where you may want to look towards S. gessner to the left
That’s the beginning of Memorial
Cherry blossom something apartments and loft of something
That’s a decent area too

Now you are in Ese/Asian territory
This was years ago, maybe summer 2010-2011
nikkas was pulling kick doors like a muthafukka on Asians
Also Wilcrest/Kirkwood are long streets
To the right of those streets
It’s pretty decent
To the left you start going into Alief
And some of those neighborhoods rival Brooklyn/Queens
Boone, Cook, Wilcrest@beechnut, Bissonet@Kirkwood, Bissonet @Beltway 8 is the “track”

Whittington Dr is
Also if you are looking at
Hwy.6 and West Park
But the apartments behind West Oaks Mall
Now if you see something on Highstar and Westpark
That’s beginning of Alief
Elsik/Hastings/AMS
But just generally speaking
Anything around westpark

Im from round there. They got them ratchet young mexicans up in a chinese restaurant serving in a black community. Aint no hispanics up in that timmy chan.
(They did tell me that they had new owners too thats why they changed the name)

I did a rideshare delivery gig there one time. It was crazy cuz I saw an ol lady literally complain about being treated badly by the employees there.

Regardless that area is FULL of black owned food trucks, shops, and shacks that do that shyt a lot better than them and more on the way currently being built.

Them mfs shoulda never been hyped up the way they was when they copied their original recipe from a black owned business. Htyne gotta hold an L for that one.

Good news is I do notice they parking lot ain't as full as it was before years ago. They finally starting to lose traffic.

Yep it's a ton a black owned creole/cajun & bbq trucks/pits and a few soul food trucks lined up & down the stead between mt houston & tidwell. Big City always got at least 3 there. 7ish on the weekends.

Langely supermarket usually got 1-3.

That ol abandoned grocery store across from Chans usually got one where they do car washes at too.

Then ya got D&Ls cajun kitchen, Fish Man Seafood, Krazy Kitchen, Family Discount Food(asian owned corner store, but I think the black family rents out the space for their soul food business).

A new creole restaurant called Kick'n Flavor bout to open up in that Super Value Foods shopping strip too.

It's crazy cuz 5-7 years ago most of these joints weren't there.

lol I just copped a chopped beef sandwich from skips bbq & burgers truck at the big city lot today cuz the convo was making me crave .



I know you veg, but if you ever getcho car situation straight(lol) slide thru on any fri or sat evening and see how much more lively it is now.
