Stimmy checks were getting spent at the Galleria today
It's so sad it's almost unbelievable what happened. It would never happen in a country like Kuwait for example.
My folks live off Synott and Richmond and I grew up in that neighborhood. It was a bunch of white people in the area until they left for Katy memorial area. I would say it’s hoodish past westpark but that rate might be too good to pass up. It’s not shoot stab hood just a bunch of ghetto ngas walking around not bout shyt really. Plenty of loud music and arguments etc but if you go on synott before westpark all the way to Westheimer it’s super nice where my folks live.i been looking at apartments and i notice some good ones at "Briar Village" the rent is abnormally cheap thou?
i peep a 760square ft spot for only $749-$800

BOULDER, Colo. - Prepare yourselves, Longhorn fans, for The Great Blasphemy.
As sure as the Rockies rise in Colorado, somebody from the state of Texas will make a great defensive play against the Texas Longhorns when they open he 1989 season tonight with the Colorado Buffaloes. That probably rates as simple treachery - or stupidity - depending upon your Burnt Orange point of view. But we're talking blasphemy here. The Great Blasphemy. When this someone, born of Texans and raised by Texans, does his defensive thing, he will celebrate by displaying a certain hand sign. The index and little fingers will be pointed wide with the middle two fingers tucked under the thumb. College-wide - except in Colorado - it is known as the ``Hook 'Em Horns sign.'' ``That's supposed to be their sign?'' Colorado linebacker Alfred Williams asked incredulously. ``I didn't know that. That's hard to believe. Around here, that's the `H sign.''' ``That sign stands for the `Big H,' which is Houston,'' Colorado defensive tackle Arthur Walker said with some irritation. ``It has nothing to do with Texas.'' Just as the so-called ``H-Boys'' wanted nothing to do with Texas. Texas football, anyway. Seeking new elevations on the national scene, the Buffaloes have turned to three former Houston Independent School District stars. Williams, Walker and Kanavis McGhee admit they were suckers for the first pretty mountain to come along. For Buff fans, the three Houstonians represent the most uplifting arrival on the Front Range since the hallelujah wagons pulled into Denver. A year ago, the Buffs won eight games for the first time since 1976. Not since 1976 has Colorado enjoyed a national ranking. Now the Buffs are ranked No. 14 and considered by some to be a serious contender for the Big Eight title and an Orange Bowl berth. That's not overstating potential, at least on defense. Walker, a senior from Washington High, is considered an All-Big Eight candidate at defensive tackle. Williams, a junior from Jones, is also an all-conference possibility at linebacker. McGhee, a junior from Wheatley, is probably the best of the bunch, a returning all-conference performer and a top candidate for the dikk Butkus Award, presented to the nation's top linebacker. Last season he recorded 103 tackles - 23 of them coming in a sensational performance against Oklahoma. So what are three good ol' boys from H-Town doing in Colorado? Having a good ol' time, of course. ``We're having a great time,'' Williams says. ``We're all roommates now. Everything is great.'' Especially the publicity. The H-Boys have learned to savor every spectacle. The week before last year's season-opener against Fresno State, the three players decided they needed a victory dance. ``We decided that the guy who got the first big play would get to be in the middle,'' Williams says. ``It just so happened that I got the first big play.'' The ``H-Town Shuffle'' was born.
Wheatley used to be a football factory.
So, turns out some aspects of Houston black culture are older than I thought.
Dug up this HouChron article from 1989 about three cats playing football for Colorado State- Alfred Williams, Arthur Walker and Kanavis McGhee from the city explaining what the sign means and how it ain't got nuttin to due with UT "hook em horns" but is the symbol of the city and a dance they came up with called the "H town Shuffle".
It's the oldest printed use of the phrase "H town" I could find.

TBH I thought most of this shyt started around the early 90s and blossomed around the screw era. Guess I was wrong. This shyt was going on before I was even on this earth,
Wheatley used to be a football factory.
Is it still a majority black school?
