Not thinking twice about driving to New Orleans at the beginning of the week because of that. Normally I'd much rather hop a flight.
I don't mind that ride. We do it twice a year. This year in April and for halloween.
Flying airtime is quicker but it's all the other bullshyt, get to the airport 2 hours before etc.
Cheap gas+ good music in the ride= time flies by
