Parents suing HISD, both drivers, and the guardrail manufacturer. Body wasn't even cold yet before they made the announcement. They threw shade at the bus driver too saying their daughter complained "every day." Should have waited the standard two weeks before filing that suit but get it how you live. :yeshrug:

Yea I kind of raise by eyebrows at that to, but reading the story they didn't find out their child was one of the ones killed until 2 hours later, was calling HISD and getting a voice recording, said they never officially heard anything from HISD, so just chalked it up to them being pissed off.

Yeah getting a robo call was shytty but why involve other parties besides HISD? Unless they find something wrong with the bus I don't see them getting too much besides some sympathy change from HISD. The guardrail manufacturer might have to worry though. But shyt, a ton of cars have gone over guardrails and no one got any money. Also the bus rolled over the guardrail not drove through it so it's going to be a tough battle.

That's going to be in the media for awhile though and since children were lost you already have built in sympathy and goodwill, even from cacs. If they waited a couple of weeks to announce the suit, people would have been like yeah, give them a few millions, that was tragic. But when you go for the money grab mere hours after the accident it looks shady as hell. Grieve first. I wouldn't be worried about lawsuits hours after my child died, that comes later.

@Steve Piffler

If y'all are free this Saturday morning do the bike and brunch tour

Bike & Brunch III

In addition to what @Raedawn07 mentioned have you visited the James Turrell Skyspace at Rice? Its completely free, can do a sun up or sun down(better but reservation required).

You can get a free boat tour at the port, or visit a museum you haven't visited before. Attend the AA Library etc...

:whoa: Not trying to call you out bro, but most times people tell me that they've been to all the museums they are normally only referring to Fine Arts, Natural Science, Childrens and sometimes The Menil Collection. There are over 100 museums in Houston and I know some may not interest you but here is a website with most of them

Houston Loves Museums

Congrats on the 12 years!

Also if you and the wifey or off during the week, check out the observation deck at the Chase buildings, do the tunnels, hit up a happy hour after that, even if you've done it before, shyt is always fun to me. To bad I haven't had a business day off in forever:mjcry:

Also there are the bats at Waugh bridge if y'all into that type of stuff(you can have a Batman moment :yeshrug:), and on the weekends numerous parks to just go chill have a picnic, drink some wine etc...
