Yeah but I can have papadeaux Atlanta, AZ, etc etc. You come to NY in not gonna send u to Benihana breh. Imma send u somewhere u can't get anywhere else.

Papadeux started in houston and spread elsewhere. Same thing with Carraba's. Those restaurants in Houston are very high quality and very well respected around here. Papadeaux is nothing like Chilis or Applebees breh

:what: Visitors don't want to go to chain restaurants nor would I take them there. There are plenty of gems in Houston to take people to that don't include chains. I've been here for almost 10 years now and still have shyt on my list that I need to mark off.

And as far as seafood...

Any of yall wondering how many cars can fit in Houston?

The construction is getting to a ridiclious level and the only expansion I see in Houston is on I-45. Traffic is going to get a lot worse, especially within the city.

Disagree with Reef, haven't tried the others. Don't let the pomp and circumstance fool you with all these new and flashy pretentious ass spots popping up around midtown breh. At the end of the day its all about the food and Papadeaux's has been feeding the people for decades now in Houston with excellent food. Plus the folk always represent at Papadeux. Certified dimes can always be seen at the Papadeux's off 610 and Kirby, near the Reliant center every Saturday night...:wow:. But then again, if you're a Houston transplant you probably wouldn't know this and probably consider Papadeuxs the same category as McDonalds. So i guess you just can't relate.

Be a food snob brehs...

I agree, most of these posh places in mid-town are very overrated and when I eat there my wallet suffers and the food isnt that great. My own personal opinion, I think the best places are outside the loop and my favorite strip to get food is Bellaire (both the Asian and Latin spots)

I'm not really a transplant as I came from right down the road, not like I came from an entirely different state. Regardless Pappadeauxs is a staple, however you can eat Pappadeauxs at anytime almost anywhere especially in the south. Tourist and visitors would rather go to some exclusive city shyt before going to a chain restaurants.

And you don't be fooled by the pomp and circumstance and let the pretentious intimidate you. All the places I listed as better food than Pappadeauxs breh. These places aren't winning best restaurant awards for no reason breh.

No doubt. Pearland has some excellent places as well. Most people don't know that Killeen's Barbeque in Pearland is ran by the dude that served as the executive chef in the Bush White House. The food is like :wow:

You are kind of handicapping here because the majority of excellent steak houses in Houston are chains of some sort.

But Perry's is excellent however I'd go to Vic and Anthonys, Pappa Bros Steakhouse, and then Perry's/Flemings would be next on the list that is if I'm not going to......

Killens in Pearland. :mjpls:
