Prob get killed for this like I did in one of those “what have we learned” threads but I maintain Houston didn’t really lose by trading Hopkins so much as they didn’t get nearly the return they should have,

Nah it’s a reasonable take. It’s not the fact that he was traded, it’s just they got zero in return for him. Look at what Stefan Diggs netted, a 1st, 5th and 6th, with the 1st turning into Justin Jefferson. OBJ and Oliver Vernon netted two other players, a first and a 3rd. Imagine the Texans trading Hopkins and one of those picks turned into somebody like Jerry Jeudy or CeeDee Lamb. Not one Texan fan would have complained about that.

I wasn’t ok with the idea of giving him up for a 4th or 5th rounder cause I felt like he’s very valuable but just hasn’t been used, but now he’s gone for nothing. This does give Coutee a chance to show what he’s got, to prove whether his gaffs are him, or O’Brien

They should just roll with Lonnie with Crossen on the opposite side, John Reid at nickel, and Moore/Justin Reid and just see what happens.
