Pretty much this. O’Brien (with the McNair’s blessing) attempted to recreate “The Patriot Way” in Houston yet he didn’t realize he’s not Bill Belichick. He dismantled the team year by year letting go of lightning rod leader type players in exchange for “hard working, dependable, reliable, versatile” players, aka a bunch of foot soldiers that don’t talk back and don’t stand out in any way. The entire coaching staff needs to be gutted like a fish, because everyone on it are basically O’Brien minions.
