Houston rounded their roster up over Labor Day Weekend.
Greg Mancz,
C.J. Prosise, and others were added to the practice squad.
Brent Qvale and
Jon Weeks were signed back to the active 53-man roster.
Angelo Blackson and
Jordan Thomas found new homes with
DeAndre Hopkins in Arizona after being released this past weekend.
Yesterday, Houston started practicing for the first week of the 2020 season and the
Kansas City Chiefs. Already, there’s surprising injury news. Put the Kool-Aid back on the shelf.
Gareon Conley has been placed on injured reserve. One of Houston’s starting outside cornerbacks will be on the sideline for a minimum of three weeks to start this season, which could be disastrous, for a team with shoddy cornerback play to begin with that has to play Kansas City, Baltimore, and Pittsburgh during the first month of the season.
Joining
Conley on the IR is rookie receiver
Isaiah Coulter, who is listed as suffering from a neck injury. This could be more of an IR stash than anything as Houston already has a slew of receivers on the roster.
There is good news, though. After missing the entirety of training camp with a slight stress fracture (whatever that means),
Keke Coutee is back at practice. Hopefully Houston can get him going again quickly and he starts catching some easy drag routes he can scamper up field with as early as this Thursday night.
