What a game that was the other night. Jalen is having a fantastic January, and it coincides with FVV kinda falling back and not pressing as if he HAS to be a number 1 guy. Jalen being able to ball so much currently directly impacts FVV in a positive way, and it leaves him free to play defense and hold the composure of the team. Tate, Amen, and FVV all hit clutch shots when they had to, and Sengun continues to be an anchor despite a pinch of a slump in some previous games. Great win against a top team.
It coincides with Jabari leaving the starting lineup and Amen playing more and also Cam playing more.

The biggest difference is Jabari not playing. Jabari can’t push the ball in transition. I know im not the only fan who cringes whenever Jabari gets a rebound and tries to struggle push the ball in transition. It’s different when it’s Cam and Amen pushing the ball in transition . There’s real pressure on the defense there. Also nobody has noticed it but Sengun hasn’t pushed the ball in transition much recently. He was doing it more last season and earlier this season.

Unless Jabari is hitting his threes, he’s. Or helping the offense as much as Amen. He’s a weak finisher at the rim. Everything he does , he doesn’t do better than Amen beside shoot the 3. He’s a good offensive rebounder. Amen is better. He’s a solid cutter, amen is much betters his defense is good, Amen’s is elite. He gets back on defense in transition, Amen is quicker and more menacingly. I think Jabari should come off the bench when he returns. Dillon should start because he being more versatility. And Amen and Brooks rotate better defensively

Back to back aside, I do not like this effort they are playing with. Sengun and Brooks are playing like shyt. How fitting they do this on a prime time game.

The defensive schemes seemed off all night. Players looked lost and players on Sac was open all game. And I'm going to admit this and I believe it's okay to do so...Sacramento might just be a bad match up for the Rockets. Every team has bad match ups and Sacramento seems to be that for us. We dropped at least two games to them this season.

Cam Whitmore’s body language is terrible
That was pissing me off. Dude threw a tantrum under the rim when the ball didn’t get to him fast enough, then the next possession he hogged the ball completely.

I do applaud the guys digging deep to take the lead at points, but early on they just didn’t have it at all. Ironically after all the FVV slander a lot of us have had, he was sorely missed those first two quarters of the other night. When shyt was going awry, he definitely would’ve stabilized them. Still impressed with the effort they finished with though. They should’ve never been in the hole they were, but the effort and drive leveled up the next two quarters. The refs did make sure to keep the Rockets in check during runs though, which was sickening.

Sometimes you need a little luck to win some of these games lmao. Sucks that they gave up that lead due to some weird lineups but hey, I’ll take Garland having Rockets related parlays and bricking those FTs. Tari goofed like crazy, but him, Cam, Amen, Sengun and FVV were on their game the entire time. Fred and Amen in particular kept them in it was the lead was being lost. Also, shout out to Jalen’s defense on Garkand down the stretch. He had dude on lock.

These last three games made up for that goofy Pistons game. Amen Thompson is such an athlete. He moves like a Wall/Paul George hybrid. All the starters did their job. The game was actually out of reach for a while then the Rockets kind of let them back in. Games like the last three will prepare them for situations shine the playoffs. Shout out to Steven Adams as well. He was stone walling guys out there. Allen/Mobley had nothing for them. Amen out rebounded them and had more assists than Garland and Mitchell.

I love how they had four players score 20 or more vs Cleveland plus every body getting 12 plus shots. That's sharing the ball and keeping the opposing team's defense off balance.

Kind of speechless at that win. Outside of the Rockets letting them get back in the game, for the most part, they totally outplayed the Celtics. Amen and Brooks out on a complete master class :russ::russ: It was a treat to catch the Rockets broadcast instead of the Celtics one :mjlol:I watched highlights of the Celtics version and it sounded like a 1920s MLB game lmao

I’m really impressed at what this team has been doing cause they’ve been doing it in all types of ways, and so many on the road. Things like that will definitely be good for the playoffs. They’re not relying on one definitive thing to win other than defense being the main focus. They’re went 7-30 from 3, and though the Hawks hit more 3s (11), they were also forced to shooting 47 times :laff: Need them to pile as many wins as they can heading into All Star Break, cause the standings are still fairly bunched up.

FVV’s last two shots last night made me want to vomit then faint. The first one he actually put JJJ in a blender, but bricked the hell out of it. The second one wasn’t even supposed to be him, but Amen hit doubled and FVV took forever to actually take the shot. Great game and should’ve been a win. That needs to be a semi Finals matchup. Some of the lineups were weird, like having Tate instead of Adams in at certain times. Some unfortunate misses down that stretch.

Inexcusable loss tonight and coaching was a big part of it. Ime should’ve called a timeout, that was some straight nonsense. Also, for all the trade FVV stuff, when he’s out the lineup, during situations like this, you see exactly why he is important and why he’s missed. He may take a hideous bad shot, but he wouldn’t make a gaff like what went on tonight.
