They needed that bludgeoning of the Pelicans after such a disappointing outing in the Cup Semis vs OKC. Jalen played like the Jalen we all want him to consistently be. He’s such a downhill fast downhill player and he just can’t be that with FVV on the floor with him.

Glad they’re just taking care of business against some of these bad team. They’re not messing around and playing with their food. They have a back to back and they were able to sit a handful of guys like they should. This is still a team where you have no idea who will do what on any given night. For one of the rare times this season, both your backcourt guys went off instead of one of the other. Glad they elevated Whitmore before the last game as well. Him, Tari, and Amen all need to consistently be on the floor together.

The squad is so nice and deep. I know Rafael Stone fighting himself over if he wants to pull the trigger on a De'Aaron Fox trade or not. This team has Championship level defense but the offense isn't as consistent as you need. A Fox trade could do wonders but it could fukk up the chemistry and identity of the team.

These next five games are going to show a lot about the squad. I can't wait and hopefully Dillon and Tari are back for them.

I don’t think he is. He has to factor in Ine when he makes trades. I didn’t agree with it but Bridges was an Ine guy because Ime no matter who he gets is going to make that stat play defense . Stone isn’t going to trade for a max contract guys that will potentially clash with Ime’s basketball philosophy. Fox isn’t a plus defender. We seen that last night when he cause the Kings the games against the Pistons with the foul o the four point play. There’s better fits than Fox imo. I’d rather trade for Booker

I wouldn't mind Booker either but is he ever gonna be available is the question.

Pretty disgusting game the other night. You could see the game starting to snowball, but nothing was actually done to stop it. There’s always weird momentum swings and no matter the deficit, you can tell when something isn’t gonna stop. Sengun was the damn man out there but him splitting free throws two different times was very costly. Can’t even REALLY get on FVV for taking the last shot cause he was 50% from three that can. Jalen needs to be alive from start to finish instead of just half the time. Only thing I’ll cut slack on is that Dillon and Tari were out, and that showed how important they are, cause there’s no way the game would’ve turned into a flat out choke if they were playing.

Rockets need a closer. If they can get that without gutting the team and keeping their defensive identity a Chip could be in our grasp.

They need more than a closer. They need a floor general. Someone that can control tempo, make the right pass, and get the ball to Sengun in the low block…not at the damn free throw line or 15 ft from the basket. Sengun can’t be your best facilitator. He turns the ball over too much. Fred ain’t it either. They also need a shooter. A real shooter. This team can’t shoot. We have a team full of guys that love to chuck 3s…but take them inside the arc and they can’t hit a damned thing. I don’t think Reed becomes that guy.

I like the toughness of this team…but they aren’t there skill-wise. I wouldn’t necessarily make a bunch of deals, but you don’t need a team full of guys that play the same way either.

Even with all the threes this team misses they are in the 11 games they've lost. If they had a closer that can handle, get his own shot, is a 3 level threat and read the defense to make the right pass they may only have like 5 or 6 losses on the season.

They would also be legit NBA Championship contenders. I like this team as well but if you want the ultimate prize they may need that closer. I wish Jalen Green was that guy and he still might be come playoff time. Sengun is great but I feel like he can be hesitant sometimes in the 4th quarter.

If Green comes to play he and Sengun should be able to close but consistentcy and fearlessness is needed for both.

Very much enjoyed the Rockets whooping up on the Lakers, even though it should’ve been more decisive. Those third quarters are always an adventure. Jalen always seems to really push it vs LA, and I truly feel like Amen is a star in the making. Everybody that keeps putting him and Tari in their little trade scenarios for 35 year old players need to kick rocks.

What a game that was the other night. Jalen is having a fantastic January, and it coincides with FVV kinda falling back and not pressing as if he HAS to be a number 1 guy. Jalen being able to ball so much currently directly impacts FVV in a positive way, and it leaves him free to play defense and hold the composure of the team. Tate, Amen, and FVV all hit clutch shots when they had to, and Sengun continues to be an anchor despite a pinch of a slump in some previous games. Great win against a top team.
