Out here in my damn drawls
This man Remy looks like he was on the verge of tears in every goddamn scene this season :smh:. Nobody gave a damn about that storyline between him and Jackie

:dead: @ Frank finally letting loose on Claire's ol' retarded ass. All season he's been bending over backwards to stop her bytching. He made her a fukking ambassador like it was a fukking pacifier.

-Dunbar could've had a lifelong position as a Supreme Court justice like Frank offered, but nawl
S3A0UBc.png
, now she wants to be president
-Jackie wanted a seat in Frank's cabinet and all she had to do was play ball, but nawl
S3A0UBc.png
, she wants to run a real campaign and show out
-Claire got to be the 1st lady / Ambassador / Face of the re-election campaign, but fukk nawl

, she wants to be the president / Man of the House

Claire repulses me. Frank was dead on when he said she wants him to "take charge" when it's convenient but she wants the spotlight when it's convenient.
fukk Claire. The only sympathy I have for that ungrateful wench is maybe if she thinks Frank is gay. But even then, it's nothing she hasn't seen before..

This season was weak. With the presidency I thought frank would be more powerful in his position, but it turns out he's at his weakest. Hopefully they get back to the fukkery that was in season one.

We've known from season 1 that Claire wants to a boss(president) :heh: She's like "fukk being 1st lady, i want to be president :birdman: "
Okay I finally finished the season and here are my thoughts. I'm not spoiler tagging it because if you're this DEEP in this thread then you

-I really hate how they made Doug a combination of Sherlock Holmes and Solid Snake. Dude is a cripple and he's rollin up on the hacker beating him up and strong enough to snag Rachel and kidnap her. shyt was weak.
-I know Frank took a lot of L's this season but he didn't take any real ones.
-I don't buy Claire leaving him NOW. The timing doesn't make sense for her character after all they've went through.
-I hate the cliffhanger of her leaving him. It's a smart way to get people hyped for next season but it also feels cheap.
-The middle of the season DRAGGED. That whole Russia shyt was slow as fukk.
-Remy's sudden change of heart seemed out of character and rushed.
-It was good to see Freddy but got damn he aint have to crush his grandson's dreams
-I LOVED the debate scene. The actress playing Jackie did a good job showing a look of defeat and embarassment
-I'm glad they didn't go the homo route again. I was watching the screen like "NOOOOOOOO" :damn:

That's all I got for now. Bout to go thru the thread.
You mean the same Remy that betrayed the billionaire to save jackie in season 2? :comeon:

People are shytting on Claire, but Frank revealed what he REALLY felt about her when she pushed him to - a fukking tool that's beneath him, just like anyone else.

Yeah he was helping her out and giving her passes like a mawfukka, and he should get props for that (definitely for her) - but I think that with every pass given she realized how the tables were turning more and more. At the end he was deciding what color her hair was and where she should be.
nah Claire fukked up with that statement when the dude hanged himself in the prison cell. You mean to tell me you okay with Frank killing a reporter but not okay with putting out a fake statement? If she doesn't do that, she'd still be the ambassador :heh:

But that's how it is in real life. Obama was more powerful when he was running for president and after he won it was anti climatic. Politics is bullshyt in general. A bunch of smoke and mirrors. People playing the "game" just to keep their position.

And does nobody else have a problem with Solid Snake Doug?!!? :damn:
I was watching that shyt with the :dahell:

The president's chief of staff, during primary season, caught a flight to New Mexico or whatever, rented a van, kidnapped this chick outside of her place of employment using chloroform with Joel-like stealth, killed her and went back home, all of this while battling severe physical/addiction issues.

The whole tone changed during those scenes, it's one thing to have dude obsessing over her, but his whole mission was :dwillhuh:

More thoughts,

1. When Doug told Frank "I'm not Russo". He basically told Frank, :mpls: don't even try come for me like that.
2. The Russian showing Frank his respect and recognizing he was just as ruthless as him, but also saw that Claire was holding him back by trying to be on equal ground professionally.
3. Frank gave Claire every opportunity to prove herself and she fumbled the rock. Frank's first instinct was to say hell know when she wanted the U.N. position but he let her try anyway. And even when she didn't get it he still appointed her when she asked him.
4. Once they didn't show anyone from the Washington Post from the first two seasons, I knew it was a wrap for Rachel if Doug found her.
5. The storyline with Remy was basic. In season one Frank said Remy chose money over power, that's why he was able to walk away from being white house chief of staff. A. he wasn't making as much as before, and b. when you're all about money, you can easily say fukk it if you're heart isn't in it. You can also tell, working in the white house wasn't a good fit for him.

Season 4 will probably be about the primary elections. It might be the last season as well if he doesn't get elected, plus every loose end that occurred in the first two season have been eliminated so there's no more dirt to dig.

Eliminating all the loose ends makes the show less intriguing in my opinion. No future threat will be as serious as him catching a murder charge.

At this point Underwood would be undone by his own arrogance, which would be even better. They could've easily let Rachel go on with her life as she wasn't a loose end that would be able to hurt him. She had no credibility and the news paper people harassing were eliminated. The only one that could touch him now is the awkward hacker geek on some cyber terrorism shyt.... Come to think of it. Season 4 will probably deal with terrorism and then he'll piggy back off of that to get re-elected :russ:

As a matter of fact I find it crazy that haven't touched on anything with terrorism to this point. :patrice:

Brehs, this show wants to be so much better than it is. But it's intermittently good, mostly mediocre, and often horrendously stupid.

I enjoyed the first half of the season, trudged through the last few episodes.

Maybe I just prefer a more optimistic take on politics, I love The West Wing after all, but the intense cynicism in HoC just really tires me out.
