Last time I went up NYC, had a chance to finally check out Louie Vega's RootsNYC party at Club Cielo(every Wednesday night, free b411, and 2 free drinks b411).

Louie wasn't there that night, but his partner Kevin Hedge was spinning, tore it up, and he played my favorite House joint period.

What's crazy is, this is basically hip hop culture with a different music. It's funny how Disco(the early disco) started all of this, and yet people think disco is just flamboyant gay music, so they downplay its major role in creating rap music.
